So it begins!
We’ve been planning this trip for a long time! While Kiley was in graduate school, we had several conversations about how she wanted to reward herself after getting her master’s degree. As most of you know already, I am incapable of staying in one place for too long. The idea of a big extended trip overseas came up, and we both agreed that backpacking Europe was something we wanted to do. We started planning almost a year ago, and now the big day has finally arrived.
The itinerary: Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Scotland, England, and France.
The timeline: Six weeks!
The cost: Don’t ask. 🫣 But the memories we’ll make are gonna be priceless!

I am so excited for your adventure!! If you need any recommendations for France, England or Switzerland I have a few! Have so much fun, eat all the food, take all the pictures (don’t delete anything – even if you hate the way you look!) and buy all the souvenirs. You’ll never regret it!!
I welcome any recommendations you have! I have been to England and France already but will take this opportunity to do things I didn’t last time – Switzerland is a first time visit for both of us… we will be using Interlaken as a base for our time there. So excited!
